From my very first music player to the devices I use today. A little timeline of all the ways I've listened to music throughout my life.

1. 2009-2010

   

   This is where my music journey began.

   Radio

   

   This was my very first way of listening music. I had a pink radio in my room with a cd with Scooby Doo music on it. The entire day I would listen to "Who let the dogs out" which would drive my parents crazy.

2. 2010-2011

   

   First time listening music on the go.

   My First MP3 Player

   

   This was the first time I could take my music with me, whether we were going somewhere by car or I was playing outside. I had my dad download my favorite Barbie songs onto my MP3 player, specifically songs from Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses, which was my favorite movie at the time. There were only three songs on there, but I loved them so much that I would listen to them on repeat over and over again!

3. 2010-2011

   

   My bedroom was basically my own little concert stage.

   Cd Player

   

   This was an upgrade from my old radio, which only had one CD. I had all the K3 CDs and lots of Barbie soundtracks that I would listen to all the time. I was always putting on little shows in my room, singing and performing with my toy microphone and instruments like I was a real pop star!

4. 2012

   

   Not really my music taste, but I felt so cool carrying it around.

   My second mp3 player

   

   This was my dad's old MP3 player, and I thought it was so cool to carry around, especially because it had a little screen. It still had all of his music on it, so I ended up listening to his songs, even though I didn't really like most of them. But honestly, I just loved having my own little music player to take everywhere!

5. 2013

   

   One phone, one song, and a whole lot of Call Me Maybe.

   My First Phone

   

   This was my very first phone, and I mainly used it to listen to music. I only had one song on it: Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen. Whenever I took my phone somewhere, I would listen to that one song on repeat. I thought it was so cool that the phone could slide open! And the best part? I actually still have it to this day!

6. 2014

   

   Same iPod era, same songs, just like my big sister..

   My First iPod

   

   I got my first iPod at the same time as my cousin, who I've always seen as my big sister. I looked up to her so much and wanted to be just like her, so of course I had to have the exact same songs on my iPod! Some of them were *Happiness* by Alexis Jordan and *Problem* by Ariana Grande. Whenever I hear those songs now, they instantly take me back to that time and bring back so many nostalgic memories.

7. 2015 - now

   

   From YouTube with my screen on to Spotify on repeat.

   My phones

   

   I've had quite a few different phones over the years, but the way I listened to music on them was pretty much the same. It all started with YouTube, where I had to keep my screen on just to listen to my favorite songs. I remember wishing I could listen to music with my screen off or while using other apps. So I started downloading all kinds of free music apps that would let me do that. Eventually, I discovered Spotify, and I've been using it ever since. It's still my go-to music app to this day!
